Annual Security Serious cyber awards secured by Check Point

Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2024 Security Serious Unsung Heroes cyber security awards, which highlight the outstanding talent within the UK security community. The veteran cyber security company Check Point has joined a prestigious list of sponsors, including Hornet Security, KnowBe4, Pulse Conferences, ThinkCyber, and The Zensory.

Now in its ninth year, the Security Serious awards programme, organized by specialist PR agency Eskenzi PR, honors frontline defenders, security leaders, educators, and individuals who are working towards promoting diversity and mental health awareness in the security sector.
Emilie Beneitez Lefebvre, Check Point’s PR head for APAC, EMEA, and LATAM, emphasized the importance of recognizing the people who play a crucial role in safeguarding our cyber infrastructure. Yvonne Eskenzi, co-founder and director at Eskenzi PR, highlighted the contributions of individuals in the cyber security industry and the need to celebrate their efforts.

Nominations for the awards are open until 5pm BST on Friday 6 September, with the winners set to be announced at an event in London in October. The judging panel includes industry experts and previous winners, such as CISO Shan Lee and threat intelligence knowledge manager Rebecca Taylor. Categories for this year’s awards range from Cyber Writer to Security Mentor, with sponsorship from companies like Hornet Security and KnowBe4. Rebecca Taylor, a diversity advocate and previous award winner, encourages nominations to recognize individuals and organizations making a difference in cyber security.
