Cisco has announced its belief that artificial intelligence (AI) is not just a trend in technology, but a powerful tool for digital resilience. To kick off Cisco LIVE 2024, the company launched AI-enriched solutions across its networking, security, observability, and collaboration offerings. They have also set up a $1bn global investment fund to expand and enhance AI solutions that are secure and reliable.
By incorporating AI into their networking, security, and observability solutions, Cisco aims to provide businesses with the insights and visibility needed to protect their digital assets and build resilience. They believe they are uniquely positioned to transform the way businesses connect, protect, and address their core challenges.
One of the new offerings unveiled at Cisco Live is a Networking Cloud service that leverages AI technology from their ThousandEyes division to provide a seamless digital experience. Additionally, Cisco has partnered with Nvidia to develop Nexus HyperFabric AI clusters, which simplify the deployment and operation of AI infrastructure.
In response to the growing demand for hybrid work solutions that prioritize customer experience, Cisco has introduced new capabilities in their Webex product line. These include an enhanced Webex Contact Center and an AI Assistant for Webex Suite, both aimed at improving communication and productivity for remote and hybrid workers.
To further enhance observability, Cisco has integrated its AI Assistant and Splunk Log Observability with Cisco AppDynamics Application Performance Monitoring. This combination provides businesses with unparalleled visibility and real-time insights to stay ahead of future demands and opportunities.
Through strategic investments in companies like Cohere, Mistral AI, and Scale AI, Cisco is committed to advancing AI technologies in areas such as customer readiness, compute infrastructure, and model development and training.
