Collaboration between Dassault Systèmes and Mistral AI to boost the growth of edge AI generative economy

After over 40 years of focusing on empowering individuals and businesses to innovate sustainably in manufacturing, life sciences, and healthcare, Dassault Systèmes is now transitioning into the era of the generative economy. In order to bring cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) to industries in a secure environment, the company has partnered with Mistral AI.

Dassault envisions a future where virtual worlds can enhance and improve the real world, and sees AI technologies like Mistral AI’s large language models (LLMs) as a way to accelerate this journey. Generative experiences, powered by LLMs, have the potential to revolutionize industrial transformation by quickly leveraging vast amounts of industry knowledge and know-how.

This partnership will combine virtual twin experiences and secure cloud infrastructure from Dassault Systèmes with Mistral AI’s LLMs. The goal is to provide industrial firms with accurate, responsive, and sustainable solutions that protect intellectual property while meeting their reliability needs.

Through the use of scientific modelling, simulation, and AI, the collaboration between Dassault Systèmes and Mistral AI aims to empower the workforce of the future. With a focus on maintaining intellectual property, Mistral AI’s LLMs, including the enterprise-grade “large” model, are designed to meet the high standards set by Dassault.

A new service, large language models as a service (LLMaaS), will utilize a secure infrastructure to offer Mistral AI’s commercial LLMs, ensuring compliance with security standards. This partnership signifies the commitment of both companies to advancing the use of generative AI in a secure and efficient manner.

CEO and co-founder of Mistral AI, Arthur Mensch, expressed excitement about the partnership and the potential to drive the use of generative AI with Dassault Systèmes. Executive Vice-President of R&D at Dassault Systèmes, Florence Hu-Aubigny, noted that the collaboration is part of their ongoing mission to reinvent industries with AI-powered virtual twins, emphasizing the importance of a strong technological ecosystem for industry-grade solutions.
