Dreamforce 24: Salesforce Collaborates with Nvidia to Enhance Agentforce

Salesforce and Nvidia have entered into a new partnership aimed at integrating Nvidia’s artificial intelligence (AI) platform—featuring advanced computing capabilities and AI software—with Salesforce’s platform and its innovative Agentforce AI service. This collaboration seeks to enhance AI functionalities for organizations, offering features like autonomous agents and interactive avatars.

The partnership was announced at Dreamforce in San Francisco, coinciding with the launch of the Agentforce service. Both companies plan to collaborate in delivering improved predictive and generative AI capabilities, which will enable Agentforce agents to provide deeper insights, ultimately boosting productivity and offering greater value to human users. “In partnership with Nvidia, we’re at the forefront of the AI revolution, transitioning from semplic AI copilots to the seamless integration of humans and intelligent agents driving customer success,” said Salesforce Chairman and CEO, Marc Benioff. He added, “This is the true essence of AI—empowered by the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce. Every Trailblazer can fully leverage AI. By merging Nvidia’s AI platform with Agentforce, we’re enhancing AI performance and creating dynamic digital avatars that provide more engaging, intelligent, and immersive customer experiences.”

Nvidia’s founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, emphasized the transformative potential of AI: “In the future, every company and every role will benefit from various AI agents—assistants that will revolutionize our work processes. Nvidia and Salesforce are combining our technologies to accelerate the development of AI agents that will significantly boost productivity.”

The partnership will also enhance AI capabilities by speeding up data processing through the Salesforce Data Cloud, which aims to unify and harmonize structured and unstructured data in real-time. The Data Cloud’s ‘Zero Copy’ feature will enable Salesforce customers to access their data more swiftly, allowing Agentforce agents to analyze and act on this information more effectively, all powered by Nvidia’s comprehensive accelerated computing platform.

As part of the ongoing Dreamforce conference, which has transformed downtown San Francisco into a vibrant gathering place complete with grassy walkways and attractions, the two companies highlighted various potential applications for Agentforce. These use cases include crisis management, real-time weather impact assessments, and effective customer support solutions. For instance, Agentforce agents could be deployed during a product recall to handle increased customer inquiries, or to dynamically adjust travel or shipping routes using real-time weather information to avoid delays, while simultaneously providing quick solutions to customer issues through live chats utilizing relevant CRM data.

Furthermore, Salesforce and Nvidia teased future developments for the Agentforce avatars that users will interact with. Their collaboration will integrate Agentforce with Nvidia ACE—a suite of digital human technologies and NIM microservices—aimed at creating more lifelike avatars. These avatars will employ multi-modal AI models for functions such as speech recognition, text-to-speech, and contextual visual responses. The companies envision that these enhanced avatars will facilitate real-time coaching feedback, live event management, and training assistance, among other applications.
