Plexal’s Incubator CyberBoost Expands to Singapore

Plexal, an innovation and startup hub based in East London, has teamed up with the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore and the National University of Singapore (NUS) to launch a new cross-border cyber security innovation programme called CyberBoost. The goal of this initiative is to connect security innovators from the UK and Europe with their counterparts in the Asia-Pacific region, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to accelerate their growth in new markets.

The CyberBoost programme will be divided into two streams: CyberBoost Build, which will support innovators in developing their initial products, and CyberBoost Catalyse, powered by Plexal, which will assist startups in using Singapore as a springboard for expansion. By partnering with the CSA and NUS to establish the CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre, Plexal aims to position Singapore as a leading destination for global cybersecurity innovation.

By participating in the CyberBoost: Catalyse programme, companies will have the opportunity to establish themselves in Singapore and tap into high-growth markets around the world. Minister Janil Puthucheary highlighted the importance of mentorship and networking for the growth of cyber security companies, emphasizing the role of the TIG Centre in providing support to emerging businesses in the sector.

As Singapore continues to solidify its position as a hub for technological innovation, Plexal’s partnership with the CSA and NUS represents a significant opportunity for cybersecurity companies to expand their reach and make an impact on a global scale. Through programmes like CyberBoost, innovators will have the chance to leverage Singapore’s thriving cyber ecosystem to drive their growth and success.
