T-Mobile for Business Enhances 5G Fixed Wireless Access Offer

T-Mobile for Business just struck a deal with Inseego to be the exclusive provider of their latest 5G Advanced services. This includes the new 5G router, the FX4100, and a mesh Wi-Fi node.

The Inseego product lineup focuses on 5G mobile broadband and fixed wireless access. The FX4100, built on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing platform, supports both standalone and non-standalone 5G, plus it handles 4G LTE Cat 20. This router is all about seamless connectivity across various networks.

For small to medium-sized businesses, retail spots, restaurants, branch offices, and even temporary setups like pop-ups, this advanced router with optional mesh Wi-Fi is a game changer. Inseego’s CEO, Juho Sarvikas, noted that these products offer flexible connectivity that helps businesses get online quickly and securely.

Chris Melus from T-Mobile emphasized their goal: to provide innovative solutions that help customers thrive in a connected world. He highlighted how the FX4100 and X700 mesh system deliver reliable, fast connectivity without the complexity of traditional setups.

The FX4100’s 5G features allow for next-level connectivity, utilizing network slicing to allocate resources for priority applications. It also introduces uplink aggregation, which enhances video calls and simplifies the need for multiple routers. Its 5G uplink MIMO technology improves data transmission and spectrum efficiency.

Security is a top priority too. The FX4100 includes advanced features like IPsec and OpenVPN for secure remote connections, WPA2/WPA3 for wireless security, and a robust firewall to block threats. Plus, there are tools for encrypted configuration backups.

With the Inseego Connect platform and mobile app, businesses can manage devices remotely, ensuring optimal network performance while minimizing operational hassles. The Inseego Wavemaker X700 also boasts easy installation, better Wi-Fi coverage, and flexibility for connecting multiple mesh devices—whether wired or wireless.
